Can I receive money even if the Florida car accident was my fault?
If the car accident was totally your fault, then no, you cannot receive money for the accident. However, if you were partially at-fault, you may still be compensated for your injuries. In Florida, we use what is called a comparative negligence system. In other words, if you suffer $100,000 worth of damages in your case, but the jury finds that you were 50% liable, then your judgment would be $50,000.
