Do I have to give a recorded statement to the insurance company in a Florida auto accident case?

In Florida, you are obligated to cooperate with your insurance company following a motor vehicle accident. This will oftentimes include providing a recorded or sworn statement. However, you are under no duty to cooperate with the insurance company for the at-fault party. We always recommend that you do not provide any statements to the insurance company for the driver who injured you. We always recommend that you retain an attorney before providing any recorded statement to an insurance company.
