Is it illegal to get remarried before my divorce is final?
Yes. In Florida, your divorce is not final until a judge signs what’s called a Final Judgment of Dissolution of Marriage. If you get married before this is signed, your second marriage won’t even be recognized, and it could open you up to criminal prosecution.
